I am new to keeping cowfish, I haven't got any yet, but I am hoping to get some soon. I have a few questions that Iwould love to have answered.

Questions:

What would be the best type of cowfish for me?

How big would the tank have to be?

How many would be best to have?

Where would be the best place to keep the tank?

Is there any other fish or water creatures that I should keep with it?

And any other interesting info

If you would like to contact me my email address is tallboytom96@hotmail.co.uk

Hi tom. Do you currently have a SW tank?

Most boxfish grow large (around 12-18 inches,) so I'd reccomend at least a 90 gallon tank. They would do best by themselves, and would probablly be best off without tankmates, as if they are bullied they could wipe out an entire tank, or bully fish themselves.
You'll want to keep the tank in an area of the house where you are near a source of water to do water changes, and can easily empty the water. You will also want a part of the house with a strong support so the tank will not fall through the floor (water is about 10 pounds a gallon which really adds up)
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

You'd need a 55 USG tank minimum for a 6 inch or smaller Ostraciid, but a 75 USG tank is all around much safer and better.

I am in the UK, so do you have any idea where I could get these tanks from?

And how many metres/centimetres are these tanks?

Thanks

You might try american websites. i think that www.thatpetplace .com might work. try looking for a conversion that converts us gallons to UK gallons and then buy a tank that size. I think that is the best way to go.
