Bannerfish?
I have seen a bannerfish at my LFS, i think they are pretty rare, not sure though. These are one of the marine fish i know next to nothing about. Are they algae eaters and how big do they get?

Nahh they aren't rare.
There are 2 types (most commonly just called bannerfish) that look almost identical, the schooling banner and the regular banner.
Regular banners will destory a reef tank and nip at algae a big, and grow quite large (around 8 inchesish) and likes lots of room, and don't like other banners. The Schooling banners however like to school with others of the same species and are completely reef safe, the rest of the care is the same.

There is a slight difference in head shape, I've never seen them mislabeled at a LFS though.

banner fish are quite small. not prefered by me.
